“People get inspired by emotion...and then later as you become a professional, you learn techniques, you learn about wordplay, you learn about different rhyme schemes, were a mathematician of hip hop and then later discovered there’s emotion in it.”

Joseph Moreno, affectionately known as Lyrizone in the underground scene, is a musical artist based in Vancouver, Washington who specializes in theatrics depicting horror films and cinematics. The journey began in his youth, discovering the possessed talent and honing his craft while still attending high school.

In 2017, the evolution of Lyrizone began to take shape, including a heavier sound and the debut of his distinct Lyrizone masks. His work ethic and talent started to grab the attention of fellow artists and he found himself collaborating with his peers.

In 2018, the rebranding was complete and made official with the release of "The Intrusion" which showed his microphone presence with a heavier metal sound. Building on this momentum, he released singles in anticipation of his debut EP titled "Sweet Relief", appropriately released around the best holiday of all, Halloween, in 2019. To commemorate the anniversary of “Sweet Relief”, he partnered with DJ Drankenstein, who produced a chopped and screwed version titled “Retro Injection”.

This reinvention also landed him feature spots in magazines across the globe, including Underground Nation and The Underground Australia, and an appearance on the Replicon Radio podcast. His own audio/video podcast came to fruition during this time, too, named “Musician’s Pass Podcast”, where he chats with fellow up-and-comers in all genres of music.

Since then, the work has not ceased. Lyrizone has continued to grow and learn as an artist. As of this writing, LZ is currently working on his next full-length project, and increasing his hold on the underground horrorcore scene.
